Transmongolian railway: Moscow, Russia - Ulan Bator, Mongolia - China, Bejing 7865 km!

Train number 4, Jaroslawski train station, 21.40 Moscow time.

Waggon number seven was our home for a week:

Our cabin:  some local delecacies, Knackebrod and oatmeal porridge.

Our home for seven days, several books, magazines and in this case, trying to solve Rubics cube.

This toilet we shared with 32 other passengers, freezing cold and everything that went in the bowl went out on the tracks... No shower or hot water of course. Obviously we were not riding first class.

The Samovar where we had hot water for our noodles, tea, porridge and soups.

Our cabin attendent, that we tried to bribe with Snickers and Swedish candy, we think he liked us, (even though he would't take the snack) because we got our "kupe" all to ourselves duing the whole train ride!

There was a stop at stations every third hour or so, time to stretch our legs and buy some local food and drinks.

Stop at NOVOSIBIRSK, got some drinks and invited our fellow travellers to a party in our Cabin.

Cheers Crazy Joe! Aussies sure know how to party!

The Swedish boys from Stockholm brought cozy partylights and crazy drinking games!

"Helan gar" eller var det "Livin on a prayer i Kanon, hur som, vackert flerstammigt var det, fick vi reda pa av vara kupe' grannar dagen efter!
Where is a Pizza place? the day after a party like that you want something else than knackebrod...

13 degrees in our Cabin, passing through Siberia (forgot to close the window last night) Brrr....

Me and Joe cleaning our windows, a must since watching the landscape is what we do all day!
Dagens citat: " Ett skitigt fonster pa Transibiriska jarnvagen ar som att titta pa en svartvit tjocktv fran 70-talet".

Time to push up the window so we don't freeze to death...The only problem is that my muscles are gone after one week of doing nothing. Had to ask our cabin attendent for help...And give him another Snickers ;)

Our little Russian Mascot that visited us at least five times a day, speaking baby-Russian and wanting to play.

Den ryska tundran

Baikal lake,  one of the worlds biggest and deepest lakes.

We had one meal in the Russian restaurant during the whole train ride, this is why...

One of many stops in Russia

Thumbs up for this railway-experience!

Having a nice time in the sun with Esther and Jordi from Barcelona.

The border between Russia and Mongolia.
